Nick is a member of the department's senior leadership team and assists in the management of the department's operating budget in excess of $3.6 million. He is directly responsible for facilities and operations to include: facility and custodial operation, facility rentals, marketing, member & guest services, pro shop operation, and equipment issue. He coordinates vendor relations and procures the necessary equipment and supplies to maintain the facility. He serves as the risk manager by coordinating security checklists, safety drills, risk management audits, and emergency procedure training. He is responsible for four full-time positions: facilities coordinator, building maintenance manager, member & guest services coordinator and marketing & membership coordinator.

Nick was responsible for the Customer Service Desk and Proshop including membership sales, renewals, referrals, cancellations, customer feedback, check-in procedures, guest passes, and all program registration processes. He was responsible for the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training of all membership and customer service attendants. He also oversaw the student development committee and incentives including the employee of the month, KUDOS Cash, Student Development Series, and employee banquets. Nick was responsible for the Marketing & Membership Coordinator and two Graduate Supervisors of Membership & Guest Services.

Nick assisted with the management of the 44,000 square foot Student Activity and Academic Center. The facility contains three outdoor swimming pools, a fitness area, outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a recreation field, an outdoor sand volleyball court, a café, a mail room, classrooms, and a computer lab. He was responsible to the Associate Director for overseeing and evaluating the operational aspects of the facility including managing the 12,000+ student, faculty/staff, and community memberships and access control; managing and scheduling the 600+ yearly facility reservations; maintenance planning and record keeping; assisting in aquatic facility management; and operations and supervising 35+ student managers.

Nick assisted the Facilities Coordinator of Facility Operations in the day-to-day operation of the Student Recreation Center, a $33 million, 161,112 square foot on-campus recreational facility: locker management encompassing over 3,000 lockers, inventory control for rental and merchandise sale, access control for all patrons accessing the facility, and supervision of the game room, equipment desk, 15 facility supervisors, and 30 facility attendants. Nick also resided and assisted in the management of the off-campus Indian Creek Recreation Area, a 16-acre property including a lodge, shelter house, ropes course, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, playground area, and swimming pool.

Nick assisted the Director of Intramural & Club Sports in the day-to-day operation of the Intramural & Club Sports Office within the Department of Athletics. He planned, organized, coordinated, and supervised the team sports of soccer, volleyball, bowling, and tennis; intramural meets including swimming and track/field; and special events including 3-point shootout, inner tube water polo, table tennis, wallyball, sports trivia bowl, ultimate Frisbee, and Frisbee golf. He also was responsible for 60 intramural officials, eight intramural supervisors, and four student office assistants.
