Ken Wolters

Associate Director of Campus Recreation
University of Missouri-St. Louis

Serving as an Associate Director of Campus Recreation, at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Mr. Wolters is responsible for assisting the Director in all aspects of opening a newly constructed Recreation and Wellness Center in June 2015.  Ken will support several staff and functional areas in delivering quality programs and services to the campus community.  Previously, he served as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at Saint Louis University.

Mr. Wolters has over 10 years of experience working in campus recreation.  He began his professional career as a Facility Coordinator in the recreation department at the University of Missouri-Columbia during and after an expansion and renovation of the facilities.  He supported over 85 students in a variety of roles including building supervisor, equipment services, preventative maintenance, climbing wall, and assistant manager.  These experiences were important in preparing Mr. Wolters for his next opportunity as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at Saint Louis University, where the staff there had just come through an expansion and renovation of the recreation facilities.  His primary responsibilities were the daily maintenance of 120,000 square feet of indoor space, a satellite fitness center, several outdoor intramural fields and outdoor pools, supporting professional staff in the areas of aquatics and wellness, membership services, and fitness, and oversight of the custodial staff and student maintenance workers.  Ken also assisted in other University efforts including assessment, student conduct hearings, course instructor for University 101, and long-term planning for athletic and recreation facilities and programs.
